A superb pair of Eclipse Glasses fully CE approved for safe viewing of eclipses, transits and larger sunspots filtering out 100& of harmful radiation whilst showing a true orange solar disk.
Eclipse Shades provide the ultimate in protection from harmful solar radiation. Lenses are made of our exclusive scratch resistant optical density 5, "Black Polymer" material. Eclipse Shades filter out 100% of harmful ultra-violet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of intense visible light. These premium filters create a sharper ORANGE coloured image of the sun.

The Coronado "PST" (Personal Solar Telescope)
The PST will show you prominences, active regions, filaments, as well as other surface details.
Specifications
Aperture: 40mm F/L: 400mm F/Ratio: F/10 Bandwidth: 1.0Å - 0.6Å Thermal Stability: 0.005 A/C Blocking: Full blocking 10-5 from EUV to far IR
The PST is made from milled aluminium, not plastic! The P.S.T. comes with a built in Sol Ranger for easy alignment, a 12mm Kellner eyepiece, and a re-usable box with dye cut foam for safe storage. Optional accessories include a hard travel case, MALTA tabletop mount, CEMAX series eyepieces, and SolarMax 40 for double stacking and narrowing the bandpass.
Price: £510.00
Coronado Solarmax 40 Telescope Package
The SolarMax 40 telescope has the same aperture as the P.S.T. but is distinguished by several key factors. The SolarMax 40 telescope comes standard with a 0.7angstrom bandpass which results in increased surface detail across the disk. A T-Max attached directly behind the etalon gives you the ability to adjust for Doppler shifted light. Bino-viewers and most imaging equipment will come to focus, sometimes with the use of a Barlow or OCS. These features plus enhanced surface detail make the SolarMax 40 telescope a more versatile instrument with remarkable solar images.
With the SolarMax 40 telescope you will see all of the limb detail of the P.S.T. but with enhanced surface features. The SolarMax 40 telescope now comes standard with a BF10 blocking filter
recommended for use with imaging equipment and bino-viewers. The larger blocking filter allows you to extend the focal length without vignetting but does not enhance detail or lower the bandpass. You can also purchase a second SolarMax 40 filter / T-Max, along with a small adaptor plate, and attach these to the front in order to lower the bandpass to 0.5 angstroms. This is called double stacking and further enhances surface detail.
The SolarMax 40 telescope comes standard with a clamshell mounting ring. hard travel case, Cemax eyepiece and Sol ranger finder.
Price: £1,612.00
Solarmax 60 packages
For those looking for more aperture we proudly present the SolarMax 60 dedicated H-alpha telescope. Built to our exacting standards the SolarMax 60 telescope provides the user a telescope with the same lightweight portability of our SolarMax 40 telescope but the extra aperture greatly increases the resolution of detail on the surface and on the limb. With over twice the surface area of the SolarMax 40 telescope the difference is obvious.
The SolarMax 60 telescope comes standard at 0.7 Angstroms with a BF10 and is available with an internal module to lower that to 0.5 Angstroms. A T-Max attached directly behind the etalon gives you the ability to adjust for Doppler shifted light. Bino-viewers and most imaging equipment will come to focus, sometimes with the use of a Barlow or OCS. The advantage of the extra aperture becomes clear each time you view.
Included with every SolarMax 60 telescope are the travel case, 25mm CEMAX eyepiece, and clamshell mounting system. Optional accessories include the Sol Ranger and additional CEMAX eyepieces.
